Navigate this blog by using the labels on the sidebar. Vendor reviews (if available) are located in the comments section of that vendors' blog entry. If you are looking for a specific vendor, use the search box at the top of the page. Comments will be approved by the blog owner at their discretion.

To leave a vendor review, please comment in that vendors' blog entry with your wedding date, location and link to bio, if applicable.

If you are a bride who would like to add a vendor, that you would recommend to other brides, please contact and provide birdcagebride at gmail dot com with a link. Submissions from vendors themselves are prohibited and will be ignored. We reserve the right to post recommendations at our discretion.

North Carolina is a big state. Don't forget that many vendors will travel and are well worth it (and are sometimes cheaper than a vendor in your area, even if they have a travel fee)!!

Vendor Awareness

In light of recent reviews on theknot.com's North Carolina message board, I thought it would be appropriate to warn future brides that bad vendors DO exist out there. Deciding to hire a vendor shouldn't be done on a whim and you should research EVERY vendor that you hire. Start with BBB.org to see if the company has any complaints filed against them. Then USE GOOGLE. There are plenty of review websites out there that people utilize for good and bad reviews (ex: citysearch.com).

The NC Bride Bio is a tool created by the NC Knotties for current and future brides to find AWESOME vendors. Vendors that are tried and true. No vendor is perfect, bumps in the road exist and we make no guarantee that you will receive satisfactory service from ANY of the vendors listed here...but these are vendors that have been used and recommended by actual brides. No fake advertising or schemes.

If a vendor is not on here, please ASK. Chances are, if they aren't on here...either there is a reason, or we haven't heard of the vendor. They may still be great (and maybe you could recommend them after your wedding!) but we haven't had first hand experience with the vendor.

I have had to take down TWO vendors this season (actually in the past few months) with MULTIPLE bad reviews (ie vendor split town and cancelled RIGHT before wedding on multiple brides or a vendor didn't show up for a wedding and had multiple recent complaints on service). I took the vendors down because bad reviews on here don't DO anything. bbb.org is the best place to go with a vendor complaint or go to the vendor themselves and get the situation resolved. I myself had a bad vendor during my wedding planning process...but you won't see them in this list. ;)
